After a sellout screening in May, join us for a reprise of “William Kurelek’s The Maze.” A fascinating documentary about William Kurelek’s life as told through his paintings and dramatic on screen revelations.

The screening will be followed by discussion with filmmaker Zack Young and Stephen Kurelek, the aritst’s son, who will respond to the film drawing on personal accounts and experiences.

Zack Young will also be showing a sneak peek of the upcoming documentary “Out of the Maze” that will accompany the documentary “William Kurelek’s The Maze” upon the film’s release.
“Out of the Maze” will include interviews with Kurelek’s son Stephen, daughter Cathy, his art dealer Avrom Isaacs, filmmaker Robert M. Young, two of his assistants Sylvia Chan & Kenneth St. Onge, as well as many others.  The film will include never before seen paintings by Kurelek and offer personal insights into Kurelek’s life  and art.

Unlike our last screening this will be hosted at the Gallery, 1040 Moss Street.

Please note a limited number of seats are available (80) and this screening is expected to sell out. Sign up August 1st to avoid disappointment. Seating is not assigned.

William Kurelek’s The Maze repeats with the artist’s son Stephen Kurelek, and filmmaker Zack Young.

Movie Monday is a free event, every Monday in Victoria, B.C. Movies are shown on a 12′ screen in the Eric Martin Pavilion in the 1900 block of Fort St.
